An excellent balance of weight, storage capacity, and carrying comfort, the Osprey Poco AG Plus child carrier utilizes an innovative suspension system to provide comfort and safety for you and your toddling adventurer.

Description

An excellent balance of weight, storage capacity, and carrying comfort, the Osprey Poco AG Plus child carrier utilizes an innovative suspension system to provide comfort and safety for you and your toddling adventurer. Note that the carrier is suitable for children who can sit up by themselves and comfortably carries up to 48 pounds (including child, carrier, and gear).

A huge cut above what you’ll find on most child carriers, the Anti-Gravity suspension system maximizes comfort, fit, breathability, and load-hauling capability. Lightweight, full-wrap aluminum tubing creates a sturdy frame and Injection-molded hinges allow the child carrier to stand safely and sturdily for stable loading. The frame folds down easily for storage and travel. A broad-mesh, tensioned backpanel stretches from the shoulder straps all the way out across the hipbelt. Though the pack maintains constant, responsive contact with the wearer, warm air can escape freely because of the separation caused between the mesh and the pack itself. Load-lifter straps and an adjustable sternum strap further enhance fit and comfort. Providing "one size fits all" customization for Mom, Dad, or any other adult that puts it on, an easy-to-use cam buckle in the center of the backpanel has a 6" height-adjustability range. The hipbelt offers integrated adjustability that can extend the "wrap" of the supportive padding. This design allows for customized fit that ensures proper support and range of motion.

A padded, height-adjustable cockpit and 5-point safety harness support and protect your passenger. Framing around your child ensures safety. A side entry with buckle closure allows you to easily situate your child in the seat. Adjustable stirrups serve as comfortable foot rests. An integrated, tuck-away sunshade shields your child from glare and harmful UV rays. The Poco AG Raincover (sold separately) can be used in tandem with the sunshade to provide complete weather protection for your child.

A large lower compartment and zippered front pocket combine to provide 1587 cubic inches of storage capacity for clothes, diapers and other gear. Pockets on the hipbelt and shoulder strap keep cell phones, keys and other essentials close at hand while an inner mesh security pocket safely stows valuables.

Additional features include mesh side pockets for toys or bottles, a front stretch stash pocket, a hydration sleeve integrated into the backpanel, and twin padded grab handles.

The Osprey Poco AG Plus child carrier is available in your choice of colors.

GREAT, GREAT, GREAT. GET ONE.

Likes

This is a super comfortable baby carrier, I have used it only for short hikes until now, but I could walk for hours. My daughter is 7 months and she love it (the only bad thing is that always falls asleep after 20 minutes.. just kidding) this is great.

Dislikes

Just a bit heavy

Comfy Pack for Child and Parent

Likes

Bought the OSPREY POCO AG PLUS for a trip to Maine/Acadia National Park. I loved the comfort of the pack, especially for baby. My daughter is 11months & 20 pounds and after walking for a few minutes she fell sound asleep. After a while you get used to wearing the pack so much that it feels part of you.

Dislikes

The hip straps dug into me a bit at first, but after playing around with the adjustments and wearing out the stiffness of a new product, it felt better and better as the trip went.

Great Pack for Carrying Toddler while Hiking

Likes

We used this pack on a recent trip to Acadia National Park. It worked extremely well. We went on numerous hikes and I carried my daughter easily to many places we would never dream of taking a stroller. My daughter loved that she was up high and could see everything while riding in the carrier and seemed to be comfortable and happy. The pack is easy to adjust for multiple sizes for both baby and wearer and had enough storage space to hold a half days worth of supplies for my daughter. Add to that the "All Mighty Guarantee" and it'd be hard for me to consider any other pack for this purpose.

Dislikes

The price is a bit high but Backcountry Edge had the best price around. Not much else to complain about.

Great pack for shorter hikes!

Likes

Ample amount of space and perfect for shorter hikes. Bag was surprisingly not as comfy as expected for longer hikes (~2 hours), possibly due to not being adjusted correctly. I watched tutorials and did all the adjustments that were recommended. The bag also has a lot of space for other misc. items underneath the seat where the child sits. It can easily store several sweatshirts, snacks, water, etc.

Dislikes

Straps were not as comfy as expected for longer hikes (~2 hours) when we took it to the Pacific Northwest. Straps felt like they were digging in the entire time, my child weighs only 25 pounds.

I love it

Likes

It is very light. I am very petite and could not find a backpack small enough to be comfortable until I tried the osprey. It is tight and snuggly. I also want to add that my children (one and three years old) never sleep out of the house (they are just too curious) well almost every time we go on long hike, they both fall asleep in their carrier. Must be comfortable.

Dislikes

It's not major but I would like more pockets. Or bigger pockets.

The Cadillac of Baby Packs!

Likes

I bought this so my grandson and wife could get their babygirl outdoors and start her life out right. They send weekly photos of their hiking journeys in the Colorado hills. They transfer the pack back and forth without even taking the baby out. They tried many packs they could afford before Grannie Bucks got them this one and THEY ARE IN LOVE with it. My kids deserve the very best and this pack is it!!! My Grandson was very happy I bought it in a gender neutral color too :)

Dislikes

Not a one. This is the best pack on the market.

Great pack, minor product flaw

Likes

Very comfortable, lots of storage, easy to adjust for both child and wearer

Dislikes

Sunshade has a design flaw and easily gets caught on some bolts in the pack. Ours ripped after 2 uses, but Osprey was really good about replacing it right away.
