Great size and weight for lightweight hiking. A great upgrade from the Talon sizes with the same internal frame set and bladder sleeve.

Above-Average Day Pack, Too.

Suspension. Relatively light weight. Adjustable brain. Love the Stratos 36 but sometimes it's not big enough for some extra Rocky Mountain clothing...even for a day hike....and required bear canister for an overnighter. Adjustable lid makes both scenarios easier. Considered the Kestrel 48 but stuck with the suspension I was used to. Very comfy for light to mid loads.

Hip belt was shorter compared to the Stratos 36. Harder to get a good grasp.

I went back and forth for a while trying to decide between the Stratos 50 or Kestrel 48. Both checked all the boxes on my wish list and a few other features that may come in handy. In the end, I chose the Stratos for the suspension. I liked the idea of the air space between the pack and my body, plus the padding just felt better. Big thanks to Backcountry Edge for the YouTube vids detailing both packs...a huge help!

Wish hip belt pockets we're bigger. The frame does seem to squeak a bit as other online reviews suggest. My pack really needs to twist to hear it. Hopefully once I get a few long hikes with some decent weight packed in, it will break in and go away. It's not annoying enough to bother me a lot right now so no real worries.

Def. durable and functional. Has most things one would look for.

As the cap bag is detachable, a built in flip cover to cover top should be included; other iterations of Osprey do just that.

The new styling looks very clean. It's sleak and isn't flashy, which is the styling I prefer with my camping/hiking gear.

A Snazzy Backpacking Buddy!

An extremely comfortable and durable pack. The ventilation system looks like it should hold up well over time. I can my gear in the pack well, and not all of my equipment would be meet that vague standard of "ultralight." The frame also does a top-notch job of transferring weight to my hips.

Haven't found any so far. If someone can find a way to maintain all the features while making it a little lighter, well, I'd probably buy him or her a beer!
