Good for hot weather

I bought this lumbar pack to use for short day hikes in hot weather and it works well for that. Allows for good ventilation and water bottles are easy to reach. I can easily fit my wallet, keys, and a headlamp in the hipbelt pockets and my phone and a rain jacket or windshirt in the back pocket.
Dislikes
Included water bottles aren't great. I use some normal cycling water bottles instead. This lumbar pack is really only comfortable to me for maybe 3-4lbs max.

Very Nice !!

- Comfortable - Packs a great amount for a day hike - Fits well with no bouncing - Outside storage straps work great for extra shirt and rain jacket. Overall a very nice pack with a few little quirks but nothing major.
Dislikes
- Would like bigger bottles but they're not too bad - Sometimes the hip belt pocket zippers can be hard to pull closed.

A wider strap would've been nice, but otherwise just what I wanted.

I did a fair amount of research into this pack before I bought it and as long as you know why you're getting this pack, I don't think you'll be disappointed. My primary uses are day hikes/trips and minimalist "backpacking" vacations where I won't be doing any camping. The pack wraps comfortably around my hip, taking weight off my shoulders and keeping me more comfortable. The hip pockets are nice and large, and the main compartment is decently spacious. Easily enough for 3+ t-shirts, a long-sleeved shirt, some underwear & socks, and some room to spare. The side bottles get the job done, but I'd leave them at home on longer trips to make use of the space. Compression straps help keep everything stable, and there's enough places to hook on whatever extras you may need to carry. I paid closer to $55 for this which I think is more reasonable than the $75 MSRP, so look around for a deal as $75 is probably worth more than what you get. Overall though, happy with the pack and would buy again.

Two main issues: the front strap that buckles around your waist really needs to be 2" thick, or at least 1.5". It's okay as it is, but it would feel much more stable and comfortable with a thicker strap. This alone brings it down to 4 stars for me. The other issue is with the bottles, which are curved and so can't be stood upright. Not a big issue for me, but something others may find annoying.

I found this pack comfortable for about 40 oz of water, light jacket, book, light hammock, and snacks.

would like the belt buckle to be wider
