Built for the rigors of alpine exploration, the Outdoor Research Men's Cirque III Pants offer weather resistance, durability, and a stretch fit design for three-season performance for mountaineering, backcountry snow sports, and winter backpacking.

Description

  • Softshell construction deftly balances weight, comfort, and performance: Crafted from a bluesign approved blend of nylon, polyester, and spandex, the 90D stretch double weave fabric has a super comfortable feel and is also highly abrasion-resistant. Though not waterproof, it is highly water-resistant, wind-resistant, and breathable, an ideal combination for year-round wear.
  • Thoughtfully designed to ensure freedom of movement during any activities: In addition to the stretch fabric construction, the pants have articulated knees for complete freedom of movement. There are also gusseted ankle zippers to make them easier to put on and take off. The moisture-wicking tricot-lined waist has a zippered fly and an adjustable embedded belt for a secure fit.
  • Special features to round out alpine protection and all-season versatility: The pant cuffs include a drawcord adjustment, grommets for an instep lace (sold separately), and a boot lace hook to keep them from riding up in deep snow. The pants have zippered hand pockets, and the right-hand one is designed with a clip to keep your avalanche beacon secure. There's also a zippered thigh and back pocket. Scuff guards made of Kevlar fabric reinforce the cuffs and increase overall durability.

The Outdoor Research Men's Cirque III Pants have a standard fit that will allow you to wear low-profile baselayer bottoms beneath them in cold temperatures but also fit great on their own. They're also available in different inseam lengths.

I like winter pants designed for tough travel with plenty of breathability when I’m working hard. The Cirque III pants do just that! They are made from a rugged softshell fabric that’s also breathable and has a lot of stretch. They’re not overly heavy or thick, which makes them great for active adventures in cold weather. Snow, rocks, and gnarly trails, no problem! The interior feel is comfortable, and the fabric really stretches with my movements. My favorite feature is the Kevlar scuff guards in the lower legs, which provide lots of durability in ice and snow.
