The all-season, lightweight Outdoor Research Men's Foray Jacket keeps out wet weather and offers maximum breathability thanks to hem-to-bicep side zippers that create a poncho-style cover when heat needs to escape.

Description

Offering fully-featured 3-season protection the durable lightweight Outdoor Research Men's Foray Jacket keeps out wet weather and offers maximum breathability. Fully-taped GORE-TEX Paclite fabric takes the wear-and-tear of the trail while lightweight yet durable construction make this jacket a good option for year round foul weather protection.

Outdoor Research's innovative TorsoFlo side zips provide superior ventilation. Two-way zippers run from the bicep to the hem of the jacket and allow built-up heat to escape. This feature allows for poncho-style ventilation when your backpack's waistbelt passes underneath the jacket so that you maintain maneuverability without jeopardizing the jacket's waterproof protection or your own comfort.

Other features of the Men's Foray Jacket include a dual-pull adjustable hood a storm flap over the front zipper a zippered external chest pocket and two zippered hand pockets. The left hand pocket doubles as a stuff sack. The standard fit of this jacket leaves room for lightweight insulation layers in cold weather or simple base layers in warmer temperatures.

Seems to be a great jacket

I love the side zips on this. I returned this because I found another jacket that was cheaper. From a functional stanpoint I think this jacket would have fit my needs really well. The side zips would have worked well with a backpack.

Dislikes

I was nervous about the face fabric not holding up to brush. I need it to be able to do that.

Solid built Jacket with good ventilation.

Great tough build and nice ventilation. Love the Brown ( coyote ) color.

No inside pockets. This is very useful in the winter to keep things like water or electronics warm.

Nice jacket

Hello, I’ve had this Jacket for around a month now, I’ve been using it mostly for backpacking, it does breathe better than a lot of the other jackets on the market for the same price. Very durable and the full length pit zips on the side are very functional and I enjoy the option of the poncho. Also keeps you dry in down heavy rain.

Good, solid jacket so far

Just got this last week for an upcoming 12 day backpacking trip. Tried it out in 36 degree weather and rain. Kept me dry through the 4 miles I did in the woods. Good fit with room for layers if you need them.

Dislikes

Jacket is a little stiff which I am hoping relaxes once I wear it more. Will take a few tries to regulate my body temp using the pit zips. Waited too long to open them and got a little overheated.

Could be a 4 season shell in certain areas. Gore Tex is SOLID! Neat venting options. Love the color!
