The midweight soft shell Outdoor Research Men's Hyak Pants provide wind- and water-resistance and warmth while still offering a full range of unhindered motion. They're a great option for ski touring alpine climbing or hiking in cool to moderate cold.
A blend of nylon and spandex the 90D double-weave fabric lends the pants a great combination of breathability abrasion-resistance and protection from wind and water. It also gives them movement-mirroring stretch. Articulated knees a gusseted crotch and gusseted ankle zippers team up to further enhance fit and maneuverability. The brushed tricot-lined waistband enhances comfort and utilizes ActiveTemp thermo-regulating technology to help keep you cool dry and comfortable during high-aerobic pursuits.
Other features include grommets for instep laces inner ankle drawcords that can double as instep laces zippered hand pockets a thigh pocket and an integrated avalanche beacon pocket with clip (beacon not included). The pants have belt loops (belt not included) but can also be used with Outdoor Research Suspenders (sold separately).
