More substantial than many pared down insulated jackets, the Outdoor Research Women's Coldfront Down Jacket utilizes both synthetic insulation and an ample amount of 700+ fill down insulation as well as a durable face fabric to offer serious warmth for backcountry activities or around-town adventures.
The exterior and lining of the jacket are constructed of wind- and water-resistant 30D polyester double ripstop that includes recycled content. It is insulated with lightweight and compressible 700+ fill power responsibly sourced down. Renowned for their compressible properties and efficiency in providing insulation, the feathers and fibers of down have an incredibly soft comfortable feel and continue to provide the best warmth-to-weight ratio of any insulation available. Synthetic insulation in the shoulders, collar, and cuffs increases the jacket's weather resistance, along with an insulated placket that can be secured over the front zipper with snaps. The cuffs have internal knit gaiters with thumbloops for additional warmth and easily layering under gloves.
Other features include a brushed tricot chin guard, zippered hand pockets with brushed tricot linings, an interior drop-in pocket, and an elastic drawcord adjustment at the hem.
Available in your choice of size and color options, the Outdoor Research Women's Coldfront Down Jacket has a relaxed fit that allows you to comfortably layer beneath it.
