The legendary X-Gaiters were the first product ever produced by Outdoor Research and brought unparalleled warmth and weather-production to the world of alpine leg gaiters. Modern updates make the gaiter even warmer and more dexterous while delivering the warmth and durability needing for extreme conditions.

The leg of the tall gainer is constructed of 90D stretch woven nylon polyester and spandex. Neoprene on the back of the leg bolsters protection against wetness and ensures a close flexible fit. A Hypalon toe cap adds extra durability.

Warmth is provided by revolutionary Primaloft Aerogel insulation which covers the toes and the lower half of the gaiter. Unlike many insulation types it is resistant to compression so it retains its warmth even while your legs are hard at work and it wards off even the most bitter cold. It's so effective NASA employs it for use on its space expeditions.

Compatible with crampons and mountaineering ski touring or other snow boots the gaiters have a broad range of adjustability with Velcro closures that are easy to manipulate even if you're wearing heavy mitts or gloves.
