From concept to testing, the adidas Outdoor Men's Terrex Skychaser Tech Mid GTX hiking boot is designed to tackle mountain scrambles and technical hiking with an agile trail running fit.
Description
- Trail running tech adapted for fast-moving hiking performance: The rockered design and Lightstrike EVA midsole help propel you forward easily with each stride and cushion your foot over sharp rocks and roots.
- Incredibly durable and weather-protective upper construction: The boot uses layered mesh that's highly abrasion resistant with a PU coating on the exterior to enhance the durability. That's backed by a dependable GORE-TEX waterproof/breathable membrane for weather protection you can trust wherever you are. There's even a soft collar with a stretch snow skirt to keep out debris.
- Structured support for a confident ride While it might have the feel of a running shoe, the Skychaser has a TPU plate for stability and support. It also works with the rocker design to aid in propulsion. An asymmetrical lacing design locks down your foot for proper arch support and security in the heel.
- All-mountain grip with specialized tread zones: Extensively tested in the field and against competitors, the outsole includes lug patterns for trail running in the midsole and downhill braking towards the heel. A special section at the front of the boot that extends over the toes uses Stealth rubber for climbing grip on your alpine scrambles and approaches.
