Large enough to shelter the entire family and equipped with space-enhancing storage features, the Big Agnes Big House 6 is a fully featured 3-season camping tent. Tall vertical sidewalls and an 81" peak height maximize the tent’s roominess and livability.
Eight-three square feet of interior space provides the tent with elbow room for up to 6 inhabitants. An awning-style rainfly protects the tent body from the element. The tent does not provide external storage, but the Big Agnes Big House 6 Vestibule (sold separately) can be attached to the tent to provide an impressive 61 square feet of weather-protected storage! Removable corner bin pockets and additional internal mesh pockets provide dedicated places to stash clothes and gear. Two internal media pockets enable headphone/ear bud cord routing from phones or other devices. Integrated gear loft loops offer a connection point for the Big Agnes Square Gear Loft (sold separately).
Lightweight aluminum poles with press-fit connectors lend freestanding structure to the tent. Color-coded pole ends, grommet webbing, and buckles make it easy to attach the poles to the clips and sleeves of the tent body. Sturdy aluminum hook stakes are included to further secure the pitch of the freestanding tent.
Made of mesh, the tent’s ceiling and large side panels maximize cross ventilation and promote air circulation to fight condensation build-up. The two large doors further aid in airflow, but integrated panels can be raised behind the door to provide privacy and protect the interior of the tent from precipitation. Coated with 1500mm waterproof polyurethane, the polyester floor and rainfly are extremely durable. All of the tent's seams are seal-taped with waterproof, solvent-free polyurethane tape (no PVC or VOCs) to further protect the tent from the elements. The Big Agnes Big House 6 Footprint (sold separately) can be used to bolster protection from mud, ground water, and sharp objects like rocks, exposed roots and pine needles.
In warm temperatures and clear conditions, the tent can also be pitched as a sun shelter. Simply use the rainfly, the poles, and the included webbing harness without the tent body and enjoy maximum breathability!
