- Reliable waterproof performance that's designed for seasons of use: Big Agnes' proprietary HyperBead waterproofing technology is used for the rainfly and tent floor. This innovative fabric is 6% lighter, 25% more waterproof and 50% stronger than traditional fabrics, without added water repellent chemicals or coatings. It also doesn't wear off over time, so there's no need to re-waterproof your tent!
- Lightweight livability that won't weigh you down: Weighing right around 2 pounds, it's easy to carry this tent even on minimal solo adventures. The high-volume design draws the walls of the tent out for greater internal space, so you have room to sit up comfortably inside. A single door provides easy access while keeping the weight to a minimum.
- Multi-functional vestibule adapts to your needs: The rainfly creates a single vestibule with nine square feet of protected storage. But the door has two zippers that can be opened up and staked out with trekking poles (sold separately) for shade, ventilation, or just to enjoy the view! And even if the weather has you hunkering down inside, dual zippers work hand-in-hand with a vent in the rainfly to maintain airflow and keep condensation at bay.
- Organize, stash and store: Interior pockets help you make the most of off-the-ground storage space. A large 3-D bin pocket at the foot of the tent and an oversized mesh pocket near the head holds layers and other gear for quick access. There's also a side pocket near the head of the tent you can get to from a sleeping bag. Loops on the ceiling can hang headlamps, mtnGLO lights or compatible gear lofts (all sold separately).
- Fast and intuitive setup: Color-coded webbing and buckles take the guesswork out of setup, and the freestanding design can be staked out beforehand or after arranging the tent in a suitable spot. The TipLok Tent Buckle corners streamline setup by combing three functions--securing the pole tips, attaching and tensioning the rainfly, and providing a stake-out loop. If you're using the custom-fit footprint (sold separately), you can set up the rainfly, poles, and the footprint to create a tarp-style shelter or to provide a dry area in which to erect the tent.
What's the packed size?
The Copper Spur UL1 comes with the EZ Pack Stuff Sack which has a large lengthwise opening and compression-wrap closure that makes packing up a breeze--no more trying to squeeze a rolled-up tent into a narrow stuff sack opening! When packed away in the stuff sack, the tent measures 18" x 4". The custom-fit Copper Spur UL1 footprint is recommended for additional protection from rocks and roots.
