Adapted from the backcountry classic, the Big Agnes Copper Spur UL2 Bikepack tent delivers roomy, freestanding comfort for up to three riders in a compact, bike-friendly design. With shortened pole segments and handy storage features, it packs down small and sets up fast for spacious shelter after long miles in the saddle.

- Optimized for fast and light bikepacking: Weighing in just under three pounds, this tent's bike-specific features begin with the rugged waterproof stuff sack, which protects the tent from weather and abrasion and has two integrated straps for lashing it to a bike frame, rack, or other mounting point. The tent also employs a shorter packed length thanks to the 12-inch Shortstik pole set so that it fits easily on handlebars, in frames, or in panniers. On the tent itself, an oversize pocket fits helmets and daisy chain webbing provides convenient gear-drying options when in camp.
- Lightweight livability with freestanding convenience: The tent's freestanding design makes it easy to set up after a long day on the trail. Color-coded webbing and buckles match the pole ends, and TipLok Tent Buckle corners streamline setup by combing three functions--securing the pole tips, attaching and tensioning the rainfly, and providing a stake-out loop. Dual doors grant easy access from either side. A supported roof vent helps provide air circulation and prevent condensation.
- Reliable waterproof performance designed for seasons of use: Big Agnes' proprietary HyperBead waterproofing technology is used for the rainfly and tent floor. This innovative fabric is lighter, more waterproof, and more dimensionally stable than traditional fabrics, without intentionally added PFAS or other water repellent chemicals. Since there's nothing added to "wear off" over time, there's no need to re-waterproof your tent!
- Protected vestibules add storage space: The rainfly creates two vestibules on either side of the tent, each offering nine square feet of protected storage and a place to enter or exit while keeping your tent dry in inclement weather. Double zippers on the rainfly doors let you create a low-profile vent from either the top or bottom for increased airflow to keep condensation at bay.
- Organize, stash and store: Interior pockets help you make the most of off-the-ground storage space. In addition to the helmet pocket, a large bin pocket over the foot of the tent and smaller side pockets corral any gear that requires easy access. Loops on the ceiling can hang headlamps, mtnGLO lights or compatible gear lofts (all sold separately).
- Shelter-compatible setup for ultra-minimal excursions: If you're using the custom-fit footprint (sold separately), you can set up the rainfly, poles, and the footprint to create a tarp-style shelter or to provide a dry area in which to erect the tent.
What's the packed size?
The Copper Spur UL2 Bikepack has a trail weight of 2 pounds, 15 ounces and packs down to 16" x 5.5" in its included stuff sack. To extend the life of your tent and protect the floor from sharp rocks and roots, Big Agnes recommends using the Copper Spur UL2 Bikepack Footprint (sold separately).
