The Big Agnes Fly Creek UL2 is perfect for backpacking duos who want a feather-weight full-fledged shelter or solo backpackers looking for a little extra space. This tent maximizes backcountry livability with a high-volume pole structure and a protected front vestibule.
Description
- Reliable waterproof performance that's designed for seasons of use: Big Agnes' proprietary HyperBead waterproofing technology is used for the rainfly and tent floor. This innovative fabric is 6% lighter, 25% more waterproof and 50% stronger than traditional fabrics, without added water repellent chemicals or coatings. It also doesn't wear off over time, so there's no need to re-waterproof your tent!
- Lightweight livability that won't weigh you down: With a trail weight under two pounds, the tent can easily be carried solo or split between backpackers. The high-volume pole set draws the walls of the tent out for greater internal space and the semi-freestanding design creates good head room while structured foot end corners save pole weight and can be staked out to maximize space at your feet. A single front door provides easy access.
- Protected vestibule adds storage space: The tent's front vestibule adds eight square feet of protected storage space, along with a place for you to enter or exit while keeping your tent dry in inclement weather. Double zippers on the rainfly door also let you create a vent from either the top or bottom for increased airflow depending on conditions.
- Organize, stash and store: A ceiling pocket and two large side pockets help you make the most of off-the-ground storage space. Loops on the ceiling can hang headlamps, mtnGLO lights or compatible gear lofts (all sold separately).
- Fast and intuitive setup: Color-coded webbing and buckles take the guesswork out of setup, and you can either stake the tent out flat or attach the poles and stake it after placing the tent in a suitable spot. The TipLok Tent Buckle corners streamline setup by combing three functions--securing the pole tips, attaching and tensioning the rainfly, and providing a stake-out loop. If you're using the custom-fit footprint (sold separately), you can set up the rainfly, poles, and the footprint to create a tarp-style shelter or to provide a dry area in which to erect the tent.

The Big Agnes Fly Creek UL2 has a trail weight of 1 pound, 14 ounces and packs down to 19.5" x 6" in its included stuff sack. To extend the life of your tent and protect the floor from sharp rocks and roots, Big Agnes recommends using the Fly Creek UL2 Footprint (sold separately).
