Insulated with lightweight and compressible 700-fill DownTek, the midweight Big Agnes Men's Shovelhead Jacket delivers versatile warmth for cold weather activities. A fully insulated hood extends coverage and enhances warmth.
The jacket is insulated with a generous amount of ultra-lightweight and water-resistant 700-fill DownTek insulation that delivers warmth without excessive bulk or weight. Unlike traditional down which can wet out and lose its ability to insulate, the jacket's DownTek insulation has been treated to help it stay dry longer, dry faster if it should become wet, and most importantly continue to insulate even if it does become damp. DownTek is also RDS certified, bluesign certified, and manufactured using PFC-free water-repellent chemistry. The fully-adjustable hood has a built-in visor to ensure that you maintain a clean line of sight while fending off glare and precipitation. The jacket's outer shell is made from nylon ripstop, while the lining is polyester. Both the shell and lining have a DWR finish.
Other features include drawcord hem adjustability, integrated thumbholes to aid in layering and eliminating cold spots between gloves and sleeves, two zippered hand warmer pockets, and two large interior mesh pockets. An additional zippered exterior chest pocket doubles as a stuff sack.
