A truly unique option to maximize warmth and comfort, the Big Agnes Rapide SL Insulated Tent Floor Pad has a packable, inflatable design and tapered dimensions that allow it to be used inside many 2-person backpacking tents to serve as a warm, cushioned "carpet".
The pad's mattress-like structure is created using offset I-Beam baffles to keep weight at a minimum and provide stability no matter what position you sleep in. Aviation-grade TPU lamination and nylon double ripstop fabric offer incredible weld strength and durability that won't leave you flat on the ground in the middle of the night. The pad has a full 3.5" of inflated thickness and larger outer baffles serve as rails to help keep you comfortably centered on the pad. PrimaLoft Silver synthetic insulation and a layer of heat reflective film help the pad achieve an R-value of 4.2. Despite that toasty rating, the pad utilizes quieter fabrics than other lightweight pads so you can listen to the sounds of the great outdoors at night-and not the crinkling of your pad.
A high-volume valve makes for quick inflation and deflation. Use the included inflation sack to save your breath and keep from introducing excess moisture into the pad when you set up camp. Once inflated, the one-way design lets you fine-tune the firmness. When it's time to head out, open the deflate cap for rapid deflation.
The Big Agnes Rapide SL Insulated Tent Floor Pad reaches 78" in length and is 50" at its widest point (at the head) and tapers to 40" at the bottom. In addition to the inflation sack, a stuff sack and a repair kit are included with each pad.
