Delivering "adult" performance in a size appropriate for young backpackers, the Deuter Fox 40 Youth internal frame pack is built for overnight or weekend backpacking trips.
The adjustable suspension system uses padded, ventilated mesh to provide carrying comfort and maximum airflow. Ergonomic, contoured shoulder straps enhance comfort and fit, while compact hip fins aid in effective load transfer. Personalized adjustment, thanks to Deuter's VariQuick harness system, allows for the growth of young backpackers without needing a new pack every season. The pack easily adjusts to accommodate torsos ranging from 11.8"-15" in length. Load-lifter straps and a sternum strap work in tandem with the shoulder and lumbar padding to effectively distribute weight throughout the pack, further ensuring stability and comfort.
A top loading main compartment, a bottom entry compartment, and a zippered bellows pocket make it easy to separate and organize gear. There's also a zippered lid pocket and side stretch pockets. Compression straps can cinch down the load or help secure additional gear. Gear loops and an adjustable bungee provide storage options for trekking poles and tools. The hipbelt has gear loops on one side and a small, zippered pocket on the other. A sleeve in the main compartment and built-in tube exit points combine to make the pack hydration system compatible (system sold separately).
