The Fjallraven Kajka 55 has the look of a traditional long-hauling backpack and while it has the load-carrying capability suggestive of that look, the pack utilizes sustainable construction and incorporates up-to-date features and modern performance.
Description
- Sustainable construction designed for extended backpacking: The exterior of the pack is a burly recycled 500D nylon that is nearly impervious to wear-and-tear and a unique wooden frame constructed of replenishable birch provides excellent load support. Even the lining of the pack is made from recycled materials. An integrated adjustment system allows you to adapt the length of the back and the width of the shoulders while further adjustability in the shoulder straps and supportive hipbelt allow you to really dial in fit. Strategic padding in the harness and lumbar area help to cushion weight. A raincover is included to further protect the pack in inclement weather.
- Capacity and organization to accommodate big miles and long days: The large top-loading main compartment has expansive space for a ton of gear and clothing and can also be accessed directly through a vertical zipper running the length of the pack. A large top lid offers additional storage and can be removed for use as a hip pack or attached to the harness for a front-riding pocket. There are also two large, zippered side pockets which enhance your ability to organize all of your gear.
