The Fjallraven Bergtagen 60 Insulation Jacket is a high-performance jacket built for mountaineering and challenging conditions. The versatile jacket has a highly weather-resistant exterior and a lightweight layer of premium synthetic insulation that makes it an ideal midlayer or a top layer in milder temperatures.
Description
- Versatile warmth for standalone use or as a midlayer depending on weather conditions: The jacket is lightly insulated with premium 60g PrimaLoft Silver synthetic insulation, a lofty recycled polyester fill that ensures an even distribution of warmth, and, unlike down insulation, retains its ability to insulate even in wet or damp climates. The insulation is produced through PrimaLoft's P.U.R.E manufacturing technology which greatly produces carbon emissions relative to standard practices.
- Exterior fabrication adds weather-protection while maintaining lightweight packability: The shell fabric is a lightweight, weather-resistant, and durable Pertex recycled polyester. Though there are no taped seams to make the jacket completely waterproof, the exterior does do an excellent job of blocking wind, shedding precipitation, and protecting the insulation nestled beneath it. The lining is also water-resistant and allows the jacket to slide easily over top of other layers.
- Performance-oriented feature set: The insulated, adjustable hood extends protective coverage, and a tall collar helps insulate your neck and chin. The two-way full-length front zipper allows for venting and convenient access if you are belaying. Elastic edging at the cuffs and an adjustable hem help seal out drafts and keep in warmth. A small, zippered chest pocket keeps small essentials in easy reach and two zippered front pockets give hands refuge from the cold.
