The Granite Gear Crown3 40 ECO pack is a smaller and more sustainably built version of the celebrated Crown3 60. It's perfect for truly ounce-counting thru-hikers who value an eco-friendly approach to design and a balance of weight and function.
Description
- Environmentally conscious construction that does not compromise on performance: The ultra-lightweight pack utilizes high-tenacity nylon fabrics and recycled foams that achieve Global Recycled Standard ratings while delivering excellent durability and a high strength-to-weight ratio. Even the supportive, removable framesheet, capable of comfortably supporting up to 35 pounds, is made from reground plastic that would otherwise end up in landfills.
- Innovative hipbelt delivers both adjustability and functionality: The padded and supportive Re-Fit hipbelt helps to support heavy loads and can be removed entirely when not needed. It quickly and easily adjusts to fit waists ranging in measurement from 26"-42". The hipbelt also has large, zippered pockets to keep essentials in easy reach.
- Built-in modularity for varying needs: The pack comes with a protective top lid that also includes integrated storage. When you prefer to travel light, you can remove the lid entirely and still safely stow contents beneath the main compartments roll-top closure. When removed, the lid can be clipped to the front harness for use as an up-front pocket or used in tandem with the removable Re-Fit hipbelt to create a fully functional lumbar pack. If you're actually looking for extra storage, consider investing in the Granite Gear Deluxe Add-On ECO Lid which has 2 liters more capacity than the standard lid and also converts for use as a lumbar pack.
