The Kahtoola MICROspikes Ghost traction device is a nimbler and sleeker version of the iconic and beloved MICROspikes. Durable, lightweight TPU takes the place of steel chains to trim weight, deliver quieter winter performance, and achieve a low profile that is ideal for trail running shoes or hiking shoes.
Description
- Streamlined design delivers ultra-lightweight, aggressive traction: Twelve heat-treated, corrosion-resistant 0.36" spikes per foot dig into icy terrain to deliver secure purchase. A surprisingly durable polymeric base replaces the steel chains of original MICROspikes to reduce weight without sacrificing durability. Articulating rivest allow the spikes to move independently to ensure grip on uneven terrain and to effectively shed snow.
- Comfortable, easy on-and-off fit for a wide variety of footwear: The hybrid elastomer harness provides a secure fit and long-term durability without excess bulk and at a greatly reduced weight. The harness features stiffer material at the toe for added security and stretchy TPE at the heel for a snug fit. Reinforced eyelets have inserts embedded at harness connection points to strengthen key stress areas for long-term reliability.
- Ripstop nylon tote sack included for compact storage: The ultra-lightweight traction device (ranges from 6.4 ounces to 7.4 ounces depending on size) packs away neatly in an included 4.5" x 4" x 2" protective tote sack.

Sold in pairs, Kahtoola MICROspikes Ghost traction devices are available in 5 sizes ranging from Xsmall to Xlarge to ensure a secure, precise fit for varying shoe sizes. See the Size Guide for Kahtoola's recommendations. Note that the sizes are approximate and are based on lower-profile trail running and hiking shoes. Bulky, narrow and other irregular types of footwear may require sizing up or down, especially if in between sizes.
