- Aluminum construction balances weight and long-term durability: The pole consists of three telescoping aluminum shafts sections that provide strength without excessive weight. Easy-to-use external locking mechanisms allow for on-the-go height adjustments with confidence that sections hold securely in place while in use.
- Aergon Air grips provide ergonomic support and comfort: Hollow-core construction keeps weight to a minimum and positive angle tops and diamond shaped surfaces properly fit your hand and allow wrists to maintain a more natural position. The extended length allows you to change your grip position without constantly having to adjust the height of the poles. The material delivers a comfortable, confident in-hand feel and adjustable straps help to alleviate stress on your wrists.
- Carbide flex tips ensure dependable traction: The poles' tips deflect up to 30 degrees without damaging the lower pole sections. This reduces the risk of pole breakage if poles get caught between rocks or tree roots on the trail. LEKI's Trekking Baskets are included and are interchangeable with other baskets (sold separately).

Makalu Cork Lite trekking poles are sold in pairs and available in Compact and Standard options. The Compact model has an adjustable usable range of 35.43" and 49.2" and weighs 16.8 ounces per pair. The Standard model's adjustable usable range is 39.37" to 53.15" and it weighs 17.64 ounces per pair. When collapsed, the poles pack down to 25.2" and 26.38," respectively.
