Not every backpacker wants to sacrifice comfort and space in pursuit of minimal weight. The Marmot Trailfin 3P tent maximizes internal space for up to 3 backpackers while providing integrated storage features like ample pockets and gear "fins". Marmot even throws in a protective footprint!

- Above average backpacking elbow room: The free-standing tent utilizes pre-bent aluminum boles to create more vertical sidewalls and greater headroom to avoid the cramped feeling of many backpacking tents. Measuring 90.9 x 65.7" (at its widest point), the tent offers 42 square feet of interior space which means plenty of room for even three backpacking-style oversized sleeping pads.
- Backpacker-friendly storage features to maximize usable space: The 3-person tent has an entry point for each occupant. Internal "gear fins" extend out beside each door to offer protected interior space to stash clothes or other items without cutting into the area devoted to sleeping bags and pads. There are also mesh wall pockets and a "lampshade" pocket that stows headlamps and lets them work as ambient interior lighting. Additionally, the protective rainfly creates more than 17 feet of combined protected vestibule storage for muddy boots, trekking poles, and packs.
- Three-season weather protection and long-term durability: The tent has a full-coverage polyester ripstop rainfly and a polyester taffeta floor with fully taped seams all the way around ensure that precipitation remains outside. Ample mesh in the body of the internal tent and vents in the rainfly work in tandem to reduce condensation build-up. For added protection, a custom fit footprint is included.
