The MSR Revo Trail snowshoe easily tackles packed snow and ice on flat and rolling terrain. An easy-to-use, fully adjustable binding, extensive traction, and durable molded deck provide a great value and years of reliable use.
The streamlined profile of the Revo Trail snowshoe optimizes agility and efficiency by promoting an easy, natural stride. The injection-molded ExoTract decking and aggressive teeth on the minimal perimeter frame combine to give the snowshoe reactive flex so you can get a feel for the ground underneath while still providing excellent grip for deep purchase. A smooth-pivoting steel crampon bites into snow and ice for confident traction and is designed with a natural range of motion to limit over-rotation that could jeopardize your balance.
The Paraglide Binding uses a single molded mesh piece to stretch evenly over the foot for a pressure-point free hold that's compatible with almost any footwear. A rear strap secures your foot in place and both straps are easy to adjust even when wearing gloves.
The Revo Trail snowshoe is available in 22-inch and 25-inch lengths. Assess your weight, including all the gear and clothing you'll be wearing the majority of the time you snowshoe. Also consider the snow conditions you're likely to travel in most often. Deep, untracked powder demands a higher surface area from a snowshoe in order to keep you from sinking too deep for easy travel. Groomed trails, established snowshoe routes or snow with high moisture content tend to make smaller snowshoes a better choice. Selecting the smallest possible snowshoe that matches your needs in most, if not all situations allows you to maximize agility and efficiency.
MSR's suggested weight recommendations are as follows: up to 180 pounds for 22-inch snowshoes and 120-220 pounds for 25-inch snowshoes. The Revo Trail's modular design enables you to utilize the MSR Revo Tail (sold separately) when conditions and weight demand greater flotation.
