The Salewa Men's Alp Trainer Mid GTX hiking boot leverages Salewa's mountain heritage to deliver stability and durability with responsiveness and cushioning for technical terrain and extended mileage. A waterproof lining bolsters weather protection.

Salewa's 3F system creates an anatomical fit that works with the asymmetry of the human foot and results in less movement in the heel, less rubbing, and less potential for blisters. A "Y"-shaped wire connection spreads the lacing three-dimensionally to hug the entire foot and better control the movement of the heel.

The boot's upper utilizes the hybrid construction of durable suede and stretch fabrics to offer excellent lateral stability, long term durability, and a more forgiving fit than a full leather boot can offer. A wrap-around rubber rand increases durability in high-wear areas. A waterproof/breathable GORE-TEX lining keeps your foot dry and comfortable.

An EVA foam midsole and a stiffened nylon insole combine to deliver excellent cushioning and underfoot support. A Multi Fit footbed fine tunes fit and feel and can be removed entirely. A sturdy Vibram rubber outsole ensures confident traction for hiking or alpine trekking.
