The Salewa Women's Alp Trainer 2 hiking shoe offers rugged protection and traction for alpine adventures and technical hiking. The climbing-inspired fit keeps your foot secure no matter how rocky or uneven the trail becomes.
The suede upper is abrasion-resistant and offers long-term durability. A wrap-around rubber rand increases durability in high-wear areas. The collar of the shoe is designed to increase the ankle's rear range of motion and comfort during descents while still providing a supportive fit.
Salewa's 3F system creates an anatomical fit that works with the asymmetry of the human foot and results in less movement in the heel, less rubbing, and less potential for blisters. A "Y"-shaped wire connection spreads the lacing three-dimensionally to hug the entire foot and better control the movement of the heel. A climbing-style lace system allows for adjustment up to the toe area of the shoe to further dial in the fit.
An EVA foam midsole and an Ortholite insole combine to deliver excellent cushioning and underfoot support. The sturdy Vibram rubber outsole ensures confident traction for hiking or alpine trekking.
