Description
A robust alpine trekking boot, the Salewa Women's Mountain Trainer 2 Mid GTX delivers technical performance and all-day comfort, even under the load of a heavy pack. A waterproof/breathable GORE-TEX lining, adjustable lacing features, and aggressive outsole make it ideal for rugged mountain adventures.
The boot's highly abrasion-resistant fabric and suede upper provides excellent durability and structural support while a waterproof/breathable GORE-TEX membrane keeps feet dry and comfortable. A 360-degree rubber rand encases the base of the boot to bolster protection against rocks and roots. The collar of the mid-height boot is designed to increase the ankle's rear range of motion and comfort during descents while still providing a supportive fit.
Salewa's 3F system creates an anatomical fit that works with the asymmetry of the human foot and results in less movement in the heel of the boot less rubbing and less potential for blisters. A "Y"-shaped wire connection spreads the lacing three-dimensionally to hug the entire foot and better control the movement of the heel. A climbing-style lace system allows for adjustment up to the toe area of the boot to further dial in the fit.
Underfoot an ergonomic dual-density midsole and nylon insole offer cushioning and enhance comfort. The supportive yet flexible platform delivers underfoot protection for descending or climbing rocky ridges. A unique multi-fit footbed provides modularity for a roomier or closer overall fit. A durable Vibram WTC 2 rubber outsole has an aggressive tread pattern to tackle all types of terrain and varied conditions.
