Sierra Designs Meteor 2 3-Season Backpacking Tent (Used)

The Sierra Designs Meteor 2 backpacking tent knows that while weight and packed size matter to backpackers it doesn't mean that space and comfort aren't of value too. It strikes an excellent balance with an efficient weight-to-space ratio for up to 2 and delivers reliable 3-season performance.

Measuring 84" x 51", the tent provides 29.8 square feet of interior space with an overhead peak height of 41". Vestibules in front of the dual large, zippered doors grant an additional 18 square feet (9 square feet per vestibule) of protected exterior storage space.

Two DAC Press Fit aluminum poles create sturdy structure and color-coded clip construction make erecting the tent simple. The freestanding design allows you to pitch the tent and then move it around your campsite to find the optimum position, eliminating an uncomfortable night's sleep over an exposed root or rock. Pre-bent architecture increases the steepness of the exterior walls, resulting in more usable space inside the tent and a more "livable" feel when weather keeps you inside. Stakes are included to ensure a secure, taut pitch.

Extensive mesh on the body of the tent promotes airflow and helps to prevent condensation build-up on the interior of the tent. The durable PU-coated 68D, 190T polyester taffeta rainfly and floor keep the interior of the tent dry and fully taped seams bolster weather protection. An included easy-access stuff sack makes it easy to carry and store the tent when not in use.

The optional Sierra Designs Meteor 2 footprint (sold separately) can be used to further protect the floor of the tent against ground water, roots, and rocks.
