An evolution of the classic ProLite self-inflating pad, the Therm-a-Rest Prolite Apex offers 2" of cushioning and year-round worthy warmth. Its foam core and soft face fabrics provide excellent backpacking comfort.
The pad employs StrataCore construction which uses a continuous layer of thermal foam nestled between alternating ridges of air and foam. This creates a comfortable base of cushioning and achieves a 3.8 R-value.
The pad’s foam core offers initial self-inflation as soon as you open the one-way WingLock valve. The open-cell foam responds by soaking up air, similar to the way in which a sponge absorbs liquid. Once the pad has had time to inflate, you can adjust firmness by manually adding or releasing air before re-tightening the valve.
The Therm-a-Rest ProLite Apex sleeping pad is available in Regular (20" x 72"), Regular Wide (25” x 72”), and Large (25" x 77") size options. A stuff sack is included.
