Perfect for solo backpackers or hiking pairs, the Primus Essential Trail Kit is a budget-friendly all-in-one system that includes a lightweight, compact canister stove, an anodized aluminum pot, an aluminum lid that doubles as a frying pan, and two removable handles!
The stove itself weighs just 4 ounces but generates 8,600 BTUs to boil a liter of water in just 3.5 minutes. The 4.3" wide burner head ably holds pots and pans of varying sizes. Note that the stove does require the use of an isobutane fuel canister (sold separately and not available for online purchase). To save on weight, the stove does not have an integrated igniter, but it can be lit quickly and easily with matches or a lighter. An integrated control valve lets you precisely adjust the flame.
The 0.5-liter capacity pot and the frying pan/lid are made of lightweight anodized aluminum. Removable handles make the cookware safe and easy to retrieve from atop the stove. When mealtime is over, all components of the system nest together neatly inside the 4.6" x 5.7" mesh storage bag. The entire kit weighs 13.5 ounces.
