Rab Men's Valiance Jacket

The Rab Men's Valiance Jacket is a high-performance insulated jacket that is equipped for challenging alpine conditions. It is insulated with treated down insulation that ensures warmth even in wet conditions and further protected by a tape-sealed waterproof shell.

The jacket is insulated with ultra-lightweight water-resistant 800-fill Nikwax Hydrophobic Down insulation. Renowned for their efficiency in retaining heat and compressible properties the feathers and fibers of down have an incredibly soft comfortable feel and despite advances in synthetic materials continue to provide the best warmth-to-weight ratio of any insulation available. The one inherent weakness of down insulation is that it loses much of its ability to maintain warmth when it gets wet but Nikwax Hydrophobic Down performs differently. A water-repellent treatment is applied to each individual down filament allowing it stay dry longer dry faster if it should become wet and most importantly deliver insulating warmth even while it is wet. Those are performance claims that traditional down simply cannot make. To further ensure weather protection the waterproof/breathable Pertex Shield exterior nylon fabric is completely tape-sealed. An insulated helmet-compatible hood extends protection and increases warmth. Adjustability in the hem and hood allow you to dial in fit.

Other features include bonded narrow box-wall construction a full-length front waterproof zipper zippered hand warmer pockets and a zippered interior pocket. A stuff sack is also included.

Available in your choice of size and color options the Rab Men's Valiance Jacket has a regular fit that allows you to comfortably wear midlayers and baselayers beneath it.
