Description

Recycled Pertex exterior balances weight, performance, and durability: A 30D Pertex Quantum with NetPlus exterior is made of a yarn that utilizes traceable post-consumer recycled fishing nets and has a fluorocarbon-free durable water-repellent treatment to help fend off light precipitation. It has a really soft feel and does a great job of fending off wind while maintaining breathability to dump excess interior heat.
Innovative insulation provides ultra-lightweight, low-bulk warmth: The jacket's TXdown insulation combines the superb warmth-to-weight ratio of down with the practicality of sheet insulation. It blends 75% natural fibers and 25% synthetic materials to create a down-infused wadding which remains securely in place and eliminates cold spots. This construction is great for active use. Note that the jacket is minimally-insulated and not designed as a stand-alone in extremely cold weather.
An assortment of other performance-oriented details and features: The full-length front zipper is backed by an insulated baffle to help keep out drafts. Elastic cuffs and a drawcord-adjustable hem help to seal out the cold and fine-tune fit. Two front pockets offer a cozy place to get hands out of the cold and one of the pockets doubles as a stuff sack when you aren't wearing the jacket.

Neither slim nor overly loose, the jacket balances a form fit and ease of movement while allowing you to comfortably wear baselayers beneath it or pull a more weather-protective hard shell over top.
