Description

Windproof and highly breathable exterior: Perfect for mountain activities that don't necessarily call for waterproof protection but do require the ability to fend off wind, GORE-TEX's WINDSTOPPER membrane creates a barrier against incoming air while still offering a full range of motion and maneuverability. A water-repellant DWR coating enhances overall weather-resistance. An adjustable, fully-insulated, helmet-compatible hood extends protection and its stiffened peak makes certain that your view remains uninhibited.
Weather-resistant down insulation provides lightweight, low-bulk warmth: The jacket uses recycled 700 fill-power European goose down that has a fluorocarbon-free hydrophobic finish that protects it from moisture, so it retains its insulating qualities even in wet or damp conditions. Stitched-through micro and nano-baffles promote mobility and ensure consistent warmth by keeping the insulation from migrating and creating cold spots.
An assortment of other performance-oriented details and features: A weather-resistant front zipper with an insulated storm flap helps to keep out the elements, snug stretch cuffs comfortably seal out the cold, an adjustable hem allows you to fine-tune fit, a zippered chest pocket allows you to stash small essentials, and zippered front pockets provide insulating warmth and windproof protection for your hands.

It’s honestly hard to imagine ever being cold in this jacket. Yes, it has super-warm 700-fill down that traps in heat the instant I put it on. But it really lives up to its WINDSTOPPER name, as cold gusts and wind simply do not get through - like, at all. I also really appreciate the slim cut and great freedom of movement without the bulkiness I’ve experienced with other puffy jackets. On top of that, it feels incredibly durable, so I know it’ll be in my rotation for years to come. Bonus points for sustainability features.
