Bolstering the cold weather performance of a Salewa classic trekking boot, the Women's Mountain Trainer 2 Winter GTX delivers premium traction on icy surfaces, fends off moisture, and adds the warmth and comfort of an AlpineWool heel collar.
The boot's highly abrasion-resistant suede upper provides excellent durability and structural support while a waterproof/breathable GORE-TEX membrane keeps feet dry and comfortable. A 360-degree rubber rand encases the base of the boot to bolster protection against rocks and roots and an AlpineWool heel collar increases comfort and helps to better insulate your foot.
Salewa's 3F system creates an anatomical fit that works with the asymmetry of the human foot and results in less movement in the heel of the boot less rubbing and less potential for blisters. A "Y"-shaped wire connection spreads the lacing three-dimensionally to hug the entire foot and better control the movement of the heel.
Underfoot an ergonomic midsole and nylon insole offer cushioning and enhance comfort. The supportive yet flexible platform delivers underfoot protection for descending or climbing rocky ridges. A unique multi-fit footbed provides modularity for a roomier or closer overall fit. A Vibram Icetrek II Arctic Grip rubber outer sole ensures that you stay upright in snow or on ice.
