Description

Lightweight and breathable weather protection: The jacket's Pertex Shield 2.5L ripstop fabric boasts an impressive 20,000g/m2/24hr moisture vapor transmission rate and 20,000mm water entry pressure rating, which exceeds the breathability and waterproof standards required by the Ultra Tour Du Mont Blanc (UTMB). All that means is that you stay dry and shielded from the wind without overheating from the inside out! There's also a waterproof front zip for complete protection.
Built for freedom of movement and adaptability out on the trail: The lightweight fabric incorporates mechanical stretch so that it doesn't inhibit your movement, and articulated sleeves further enhance the fit. Extra volume on the back of the jacket allows you to wear it over a running pack (up to 12 liters) and a drawcord adjustment at the waist helps you snug down the fit to your liking. A snap behind the front zip secures the jacket when it's left open for complete venting.
Additional features for optimal performance and packability: The jacket includes a minimalist hood that fits close to the body, so it stays put. A single zippered chest pockets stows essentials but also provides access to flasks or hoses when a pack is worn under the jacket--plus it doubles as a stuff sack to pack it away!
