Lightweight synthetic upper balances support, breathability, and durability: The mesh upper is flexible, comfortable, and extremely breathable. Strategic overlays bolster durability in key wear areas and help to keep your foot positioned comfortably in place without inhibiting cooling airflow. A QuickLace system simplifies the tightening of the shoe and easily tucks away any unnecessary lacing.
Deep cushioning that maintains structure and rebound mile after mile: The shoe employs a deep stack of optiFOAM for maximum cushioning that resists breaking down even after extended usage. Mapped technology provides underfoot support where it's needed most while using strategic cutaways to ensure optimal pressure dispersal to promote stride efficiency, save weight, and reduce fatigue.
Confident traction regardless of the surface: The shoe's versatile Contagrip rubber outsole balances durability and flexible responsiveness so you stay upright on wet or dry surfaces and hard-packed or loose terrain.

Sold in pairs, the Men's Ultra Glide 4 trail running shoe is available in a standard width and men's full and half sizes. With a 41mm heel and a 35mm forefoot, the maximum cushion shoe has a 6mm drop.

My new favorite Salomon trail running shoe! I wasn’t initially sure that the unique outsole and tread pattern on this shoe would be up for some of the punishment I subject my shoes too, but I was wrong. It wasn’t just up for it, it excelled in both mud and on rocky terrain and, amazingly, rode really nicely on pavement too. I’m really appreciating the super padded tongue and even though the upper hugs my foot which I don’t always love, the material is so forgiving and breathable that I don’t mind it in the slightest. Really great shoe.
