The shoe's seamless upper strikes an excellent balance between weight, protectiveness, and breathability, and a fully waterproof GORE-TEX liner ensures that your feet stay dry and comfortable. SensiFit wings on the upper help keep your foot securely in place on technical, rocky, or slick trails. A lightweight QuickLace system lets you dial in fit.
The midsole utilizes Salomon's Energy Cell compound to simultaneously deliver underfoot cushioning and energy return. A molded Ortholite sockliner enhances comfort and fit. The stack height of the supportive heel is 31.5mm while the forefoot is 23.5mm, resulting in a moderate 8mm drop.
The shoe's Contagrip TA rubber outsole uses aggressive lugs for enhanced traction on a wide range of surfaces and conditions. A molded toe cap protects against kicked rocks or roots.
