Underfoot the shoe is responsive but employs maximum cushioning for ultra distances. SensiFit wings hug your foot within the shoe to provide a secure feel. A dual-density Energy Surge EVA and Olefin midsole deliver cushioning and energy return to cut down on the fatigue from long days of pushing hard. Borrowing from Salomon's ski heritage, the midsole is curved to encourage quick turnover and promote an efficient stride. A molded Ortholite sockliner further enhances fit and comfort.
With a 38.2mm heel and 32.2mm forefoot the shoe has a moderate 6mm drop. A versatile Contagrip MA rubber outsole balances durability and flexible responsiveness so you enjoy confident traction on wet or dry surfaces and hard-packed or loose terrain.
