This product was purchased to open more possibilities for water on an upcoming walk from Stanley, ND back home to SE Nebraska. I have previously used livestock tanks as a final resort , but this will let me gather cloudy stream water (without pumping through a filter and seriously clogging it) and add alum to help settle the mud to the bottom, then pour the clear water off into containers to then treat against bacteria and the like. I have tested this locally and it really works! A great lightweight solution to a real turbid problem!!

It is another step in the process but does open up more options for gathering water so is well worth the effort and the 2.2 ounces that the Ultra-Sil bag weighs.
