Sea to Summit Women's Flame FmIII Sleeping Bag

The Sea to Summit Women’s Flame FmIII is a lightweight, packable sleeping bag designed just for women. Ideal for ultra-lightweight cool-weather backpacking or thru-hiking, it weighs less than two pounds, features weather-resistant treated down insulation, and has a temperature rating of 25 Degrees.

To better serve the needs of women, the Flame bags are designed with narrower shoulders, wider hips, and extra insulation. Expedition-style sizing in the FmIII means that you get extra wiggle room and comfortable space even if you're wearing multiple layers.

Renowned for their efficiency in retaining heat and compressible properties, the feathers and fibers of down have an incredibly soft, comfortable feel and, despite advances in synthetic materials, continue to provide the best warmth-to-weight ratio of any insulation available. The one inherent weakness of down insulation is that it loses much of its ability to maintain warmth when it gets wet, but this bag’s premium 850+ fill, RDS certified Ultra-Dry Down performs differently. Ensuring consistent thermal performance, a hydrophobic treatment enables the insulation to stay dry longer and dry faster if it should become wet than traditional down insulation. Ultra-lightweight 10D nylon exterior shell fabric has a DWR treatment to further protect the interior from moisture. A 7D nylon interior has a soft-touch fabrication that provides next-to-skin comfort.

The bag uses both horizontally- and vertically-oriented baffles to keep the insulation from migrating and creating cold spots. The bag features a full-length side zipper with two sliders. This makes getting in and out easy and provides ventilation options for warm weather. A zipper draft tube, insulated hood, and neck draft collar prevent warmth from being lost.
