Sea to Summit Women's Journey JoII Sleeping Bag

The Sea to Summit Women’s Journey JoII is a roomy sleeping bag with a tapered rectangular shape, a weight of less than 3 pounds, and water-resistant down insulation. Its gender-specific design provides female campers and backpackers with warmth rated to 18 degrees Fahrenheit.

To better serve the needs of women, the Journey is designed with narrow shoulders and wider hips than Sea to Summit's standard bags and it also has additional insulation in the footbox.

Renowned for their efficiency in retaining heat and compressible properties, the feathers and fibers of down have an incredibly soft, comfortable feel and, despite advances in synthetic materials, continue to provide the best warmth-to-weight ratio of any insulation available. The one inherent weakness of down insulation is that it loses much of its ability to maintain warmth when it gets wet, but this bag’s premium 650+ RDS-certified fill, RDS certified Ultra-Dry Down performs differently. Ensuring consistent thermal performance, a hydrophobic treatment enables the insulation to stay dry longer and dry faster if it should become wet than traditional down insulation. There is additional down and Thermolite insulation in the footbox for extra warmth.

The bag has an protective 30D nylon exterior shell a 20D nylon interior with soft-touch fabrication that provides next-to-skin comfort.

The bag uses both horizontally- and vertically-oriented baffles to keep the insulation from migrating and creating cold spots. Two-way side and foot zippers provide ventilation options and also allow this bag to be laid flat like a quilt. An oversized zipper draft tube uses anti-snag materials. A 3D insulated hood and neck draft collar trap warmth in the bag. An integrated pocket safely stores small valuables. An Ultra-Sil Compression Bag is included.
