Everyone loves waking up at the crack of down when they're camping, right? Nope, not everyone, and the 6-person Sierra Designs Alpenglow 4 tent is perfect for campers who prefer to sleep in a little later. Its darkened interior and light-resistant rainfly combine to keep the sun from waking you the moment it peeks above the horizon.
Measuring 120" x 120", the tent has a 100 square foot interior that comfortably houses up to 6 campers. A large front door offers convenient entry, and its vestibule provides a dry entryway and protected external storage space in front of the door. Mesh interior pockets and an included gear loft offer a place to stow clothes and gear up and out of the way to increase internal livability. Integrated pass-throughs on the interior tent body let modern camping families run cords into the tent to power electronics.
Two fiberglass poles are used to provide freestanding structure. NOTE: The fiberglass poles are heavier and more fragile than aluminum poles, but wrapped construction makes them stronger than the fiberglass poles found on many department store tents. Stakes and guyline are included to ensure a taut pitch.
Mesh on the tent body provides ventilation for warm temperatures and helps to keep condensation from occurring inside the tent. The highly durable 75D PU-coated Twilight Tech taffeta rainfly has a PU-coating that help to shield against bright light and ward off rain and weather. A tarpaulin-style floor protects against rocks, roots, and ground water. Fully taped seams further ensure weather protection.
