Perfect? No. Excellent value? Absolutely.

- Set up is easy, easy to get a good pitch - Ventilation might be this tent’s greatest strength - My first night in the tent we got several inches of rain and this tent performed great. Stayed completely dry in the tent. Got a little wet during set up but that is just the nature of the design not a flaw in the quality of the tent. The quick set up helps reduce that. - Poles are very light - Weight is acceptable for the material used and the size. Not for the ultralighter by any means, but for a night or two not too heavy - Packs down pretty compact for the size tent - Huge vestibule with optional awning to stay out in the air even when raining is a really great feature and the height allows you to sit upright comfortably (I’m 5’10/11”) - Price, especially for a casual backpacker who wants a semi-free standing tent and who may not want to go from 0 to z-packs in 60 seconds

Dislikes

- Stakes are bulky and a missed opportunity to save weight, also the provided number of stakes is not enough. I needed to use alternative stakes when using trekking pole awning - Some water got through the fly zippers (dropped into vestibule but not into the tent body itself) - The position of the flashlight diffuser is a bit of an annoyance when getting in and out of tent (can easily be removed) - While I’ve only used this solo, I do anticipate it would be quite tight with two people. I’m a comfort camper though, so to some this may be more than enough for 2. - Overall, the Pros far outweigh the Cons for me. Couldn’t pass up the deal from Enwild. I’m a big fan of Sierra Designs. I wouldn’t take it on a thru-hike, but for a budget luxury 1-person it checks all the boxes that are important to me: Price, Easy set-up, Unique design, Waterproof, Weight to space

Nice Tent but 1 flaw

Likes

Lite, very breathable & packs up well.

Dislikes

Well constructed but tent fly lacked a stake loop on right side next to entrance zipper. No way to secure fly with stake to use zipper. Other side with zipper had a tent loop, but tent zipper oriented on right side. I added loop to solve problem

Easy to set up! Lightweight. Great space and love the included light filter.

Easy to set up! Lightweight. Great space and love the included light filter, perfect for my Biolite Sunlight. I'm excited to use this for the Maryland leg of the AT next week. Oct. 2020.

Dislikes

Thin tent floor, highly suggest getting a footprint. They should include 3-5 more stakes for all tie down points (only comes with 9).

Superb Tent

Likes

Roominess, ease of setup, need for less room to set up, packability, protection from the elements and buggy little critters.

Dislikes

Weight, not too heavy but used as a one person carry so lighter would be nice.

Overall Great Product!

Likes

Held up great in moist atmosphere... Once awning guying out was perfected, it acted as a great vent for maximum breathability throughout the night and held up well with trekking poles. Rain fly dried out super fast in the morning after being soaking wet. I was surprised.

Dislikes

Stakes were okay, but still prefer groundhogs. These ones bent easily but only one of them did.

Easy to setup, sturdy, and roomy

Likes

I just used this last night for the first time, and it couldn't have been smoother. The setup was quick and intuitive, it held up well in the wind, and there was lots of space for both me and my brother.

Dislikes

The guy lines are a little confusing, in fact, I don't think I even figured out how to used them correctly. Also, there was no rain last night, and I could see rain dripping onto the very edges of the tent. However, this may be due to not pulling the fly taught enough.

great small tent

Likes

Great price point for a quality lightweight backpacking tent. works great for 1 person. 2 people might be tight but you can probably squeeze, just less space for gear and stuff. The quality of the material is great for poles and tent. I also bought the footprint.

Dislikes

not free standing, I was not able to set up as pretty as shown in the video with limited space for the tent location. The middle part is low which can trap water if raining.

lightweight 2 person tent for beginner backpacker

Likes

Light weight and spacious for me and my kid. Materials feel durable. The tent packs small and is easy to pack.

Dislikes

It needs to be staked down. But I guess it's just the style/design of the tent. I doesn't bother me too much because the trails we plan to go all have soft ground.
