An innovative, lightweight two-person shelter, the Sierra Designs High Side 2 backpacking tent also has modularity to pitch the rainfly over either or both of its doors with an awning-style entry.
Measuring 88" x 55" (at its widest point), the tent has a 31 square foot interior. Vestibules in front of the doors provide an additional 16 square feet (8 feet per vestibule) of protected external storage.
Pre-bent DAC Featherlight aluminum poles provide the non-freestanding tent with structure. Stakes are included to ensure a taut and secure pitch. Ample mesh on the tent body promotes circulation to fight condensation build-up inside the tent. Coated with waterproof polyurethane, the 20D nylon ripstop fly and 30D nylon ripstop floor are lightweight and durable. All of the seams are tape-sealed to bolster weather protection.
The compatible custom-fit Sierra Designs High Side 2 Footprint (sold separately) can be used to further protect the floor of the tent from sharp objects mud and ground water.
