Description

  • Built-in adjustability for a precision fit: The pack's padded backpanel has a torso adjustment system that allows you to easily adjust the height for optimal fit. To further ensure a proper fit, the pack is available in Small/Medium (best fits 15"-20" torso lengths) and Large/Xlarge (17"-22") size options.
  • Comfortable, load-supporting design: Plush shoulder straps cushion your load and a padded hipbelt comfortably fits around your hips and uses dual-density foam for an ideal blend of support and cushioning. An adjustable sternum strap further dials in fit and incorporates a safety whistle into its buckle

  • Massive stretch side pockets easily fit larger water bottles (water bottles not included)

Pack fit is one of the most important aspects beginner backpackers, and I love the fact that The North Face addresses this with its effective but simple-to-use Multi Adjust torso lengthening system. The hip pockets are cavernous and swallow anything I can throw at them, including the largest of smart phones, with room to spare. If I’m packing lighter, I appreciate that I can remove the lid to shed some weight and trim down my profile. It’s obvious the Trail Lite 50 comes from a long lineage of quality gear because you can just feel the durable materials and solid construction.
