Description

Ultra-soft and expandable, the Therm-a-Rest Compressible Pillow is ideally suited for travel and family camping. Fully compressed, the pillow takes up surprisingly little room in your car, pack, or luggage and fluffs up quickly to provide a comfortable headrest.

An integrated cinch cord gives you the say in the firmness of the pillow. Two layers of upcycled foam that would otherwise go to waste provide a comfortable, even surface. The soft partially-recycled polyester comfort ensures next-to-skin comfort. When not in use, the pillow packs into itself for compact storage.

Note: To optimize the initial loft of the Therm-a-Rest Pillow's compressible fill, it is advisable to fluff the pillow by running it in your dryer for 10 minutes before use. Storing the pillow in an uncompressed fashion when not in use will extend the life expectancy of the fill's loft.

I bought the medium/regular and it's decent. Feels lumpy in your hand, but not when you lay your head on it and the size is good while still being packable. The best way to do that is just lay it flat and pack on top of it so it compresses down. Takes up almost no pack space this way. And since it's foam it gets nice and warm on those cold nights.

Dislikes

Uncinched, it has very little body and when it is cinched the clip doesn't hold it completely tight, but it stays put anyway. Takes a while to puff up, but if you work on it when you're laying out your bag and then again when you're ready to use it, it'll be okay. It'd be nice if there was a zipper so you could add foam to it, which I would do if I could, but there's not. Oh well. Still a nice pillow and so much more comfortable than an inflatable.

I absolutely LOVE this compressible pillow!! It is so comfortable and packs down to half its size. While it does add a bit of extra bulk and weight, it gives me much better sleep without the neckaches I used to get before. I'm never going backpacking without my pillow again!!
