Description

The Therm-a-Rest NeoAir Camper SV utilizes a unique Speed Valve that inflates in one third of the time of a similar sized pad. This inflatable sleeping mattress is a lightweight, packable option for family camping. The NeoAir Camper SV’s innovative design makes it more stable and comfortable than traditional "blow up" pads.

Unlike the limited number of vertical baffles employed by most inflatable pads, the NeoAir Camper utilizes horizontal air baffles and raised side rails to keep you on the mattress. To minimize convective cooling, Therm-a-Rest's ThermaCapture layer uses a reflective coating to reflect radiant heat back to your body without the excess weight or bulk of traditional insulating materials. The inflatable construction provides a full 3" thick base of support. Lightweight, high-tenacity fabric offers durability and maintains a light packed weight.

While the pad does have a traditional valve for mouth inflation and fine-tuning the firmness of the pad once it is inflated, the integrated SpeedValve is the quickest and most effective way to fully inflate the pad. Open the roll-top SpeedValve, position your mouth several inches from the opening, and blow directly towards the opening. The pressure differential caused by that puff of air actually draws surrounding air into the pad with very little effort on your part and quickly leads to full inflation. Roll the closure shut and you’re all set. When you’re ready to break camp, the auto-reverse valve quickly dumps air and enables you to roll up your pad without the fuss and fight that traditional pads can be.

The Therm-a-Rest NeoAir Camper SV is available in Large (25" x 77") and XLarge (30" x 77") size options. A stuff sack and repair kit are included.

  • Speed Valve inflates in one-third the time of a similarly sized air mattress; deflates in a flash
  • 3in (7.6cm) WaveCore construction with ThermaCapture layer provides low-bulk stability and warmth
  • Raised side-rails keep you on the mattress throughout the night

Great value

Likes

The speed valve is actually an effective time saver. The mattress is also very comfortable and quick/easy to store away. It's simple and elegant.

Dislikes

The mattress is heavier than any other similar pads I own, but for a base camp mattress, it's still very manageable and convenient. I would still consider using it as a trail pad, especially after hauling around some pretty hefty ones in my youth.
