A lightweight durable option for 3-season backpacking the Therm-a-Rest NeoAir Trekker sleeping pad offers comfort reliability and an R-value of 3.2 in compact dimensions and a sub pound-and-a-half trail weight.

Description

A lightweight durable option for 3-season backpacking the Therm-a-Rest NeoAir Trekker sleeping pad offers comfort reliability and an R-value of 3.2 in compact dimensions and a sub pound-and-a-half trail weight.

Unlike the limited number of vertical baffles employed by most traditional inflatable pads the NeoAir Trekker utilizes horizontal air baffles. The increased number of baffles provides comfort by increasing stability and avoiding the "inflatable raft" feeling caused by over-inflated vertical baffles. Internal heat-reflective ThermaCapture technology keeps cold air at ground level and redirects warmth back toward your body.

The inflatable construction provides a full 2.5" thick base of support. Ultra-lightweight high-tenacity fabric offers durability and maintains an incredibly light packed weight. The pad can be inflated by mouth or with the use of the NeoAir Pump Sack or NeoAir Pumps (all sold separately).

The Therm-a-Rest NeoAir Trekker is available in Regular (20" x 72") Regular Wide (25” x 72”) or Large (25" x 77") size options. A stuff sack and emergency repair kit are included.

  • Horizontal air baffles
  • ThermaCapture technology provides extra warmth
  • 3.2 R-Value
  • Stuff sack and repair kit included

very comfortable

Likes

This pad is just what I need, I am a side sleeper so the extra fullness is great

Dislikes

Doesn't really automatically fill with air, but I didn't expect it to and it isn't a dislike... I made an airpump out of a garbage bag, soda cap and hose washer like the YouTube video.

The perfect pad

Likes

As an extremely light, active sleeper I can say this pad is not as noisy as everyone claims. The horizontal baffles are extremely comfy and the pad holds air very well without needing to be re-inflated. The regular/wide dimensions are exactly what I wanted without being too heavy. I'm very happy with this three season pad.

Dislikes

Unfortunately, there was no stuff sack included in the packaging, but the amazing staff at Backcountry Edge contacted Cascade Designs and had a replacement stuff sack shipped to me in a few days.

I've never slept so well in a tent!

Likes

I'm 6'3" so I ordered the large version. I've heard people complain about noisy Thermarest pads but this one seemed pretty quiet when shifting positions. Go ahead and side sleep, you wont feel the ground! I used this pad with my enlightened equipment quilt and sea to summit pillow and I think i know have an ultimate backpacking sleep system (for 3 season )! I highly recommend an air pump which will be one of my next purchases.

Dislikes

Have to inflate manually, may want to consider one of the available pumps.
