Thanks to the Therm-a-Rest NeoLoft sleeping pad, backpackers no longer have to sacrifice comfort to get out in the backcountry. The fully rectangular, inflatable pad is a plush 4.6" thick, has a soft knit surface, achieves a 4.7 R-value, and acks down to the size of a 1-liter bottle!

Description

  • Elevated camping-like comfort in a backpacking pad: Unlike standard 2-piece backpacking pad construction, the NeoLoft's 3D design creates vertical sidewalls to mirror the loft and stability of your mattress at home. The pad's stretch knit polyester fabric is usually only found on heavier camping mattresses, but it doesn't add significant weight or sacrifice the durability needed for backcountry use. The length and width of the pad is also slightly larger the whole way around with integrated side rails to let you sprawl without worry about sliding off the pad during the night. Internal architecture helps to provide contoured, structured comfort, and warmth without excess weight.
  • Easy inflation and deflation: The pad's TwinLock Valve system pairs with an included seam-sealed pump sack to deliver moisture-free and breath-saving inflation. The valves also provide the ability to easily adjust firmness to your preference and enable the pad to deflate quickly and thoroughly to make packing up hassle-free.

Sizing options
The NeoLoft pad is available in three sizes: Regular (73" x 22"), Regular Wide (73" x 26") and Large (78" x 26"). A stuff sack is included for easy packing and storage and a repair kit is included for just-in-case emergencies.

The stretch fabric is nice, but can get balloony

The Neoloft is nice and thick while being relatively lightweight. The adjustability of this is great as you can let out much more air than you can in a thinner air mattress. Very comfortable if you're a back sleeper.

Dislikes

I didn't fine this great as a side sleeper. While a little more comfortable than an Xtherm, I found this mattress to be much more balloon-like than the Xtherm. When sleeping on my side I often felt like I was about to roll off the mat at night.
