The Topo Athletic Men's Traverse 2 is the rare shoe that truly offers technical running performance with the necessary stability for thru-hiking. It has a premium outsole, underfoot cushioning and protection, and a roomy toebox with a secure heel and midfoot.

Description

  • Breathable, durable synthetic upper: The shoe's upper is constructed of breathable and abrasion-resistant mesh with strategic overlays to bolster durability and increase support. The synthetic construction has a better "out of the box" fit than you'll get from traditional leather hiking footwear.
  • Balanced cushion and protection for all-around trail use: Whether you're running rocky and root-littered trails or churning out long hiking miles, the shoe's moderately cushioned ZipFoam midsole has a lightweight feel with an integrated forefoot rock plate to absorb the pounding of uneven terrain. A TPU insole enhances cushioning and overall fit.
  • Foot-shaped fit for balanced, natural gait: The signature Topo Athletic fit has a roomy toe box to keep your toes in their natural position without pinching or rubbing while providing security in the midfoot and heel so you feel agile and confident on varied terrain. The moderate 5mm (30mm heel and 25mm midfoot) drop encourages a natural stride.
  • Stable, reliable grip wherever you go: You'll be ready for any terrain with Vibram's premium rubber outsole. Its MegaGrip compound provides superior traction and slip resistance on a wide variety of trail surfaces and in dry or wet conditions.

What about sizing?
Sold in pairs, the Men's Traverse 2 trail shoe is available in a standard width and men's full and half sizes. It also has a versatile universal attachment system for pairing the shoe with a gaiter to keep unwanted debris out of the shoe (gaiter not included).
