The Ultimate Direction All Mountain pack is an all-season backpack that offers 30 liters of internal storage, has easy-to-reach harness pockets, and incorporates versatile options for external gear lashing. An included kit enables the pack to comfortably and effectively carry skis.
The pack's design borrows from the streamlined structure and close-to-the-body fit of Ultimate Direction's celebrated running packs but it adds additional structure and durability. A compression-molded backpanel gives the pack greater structure and offers enhanced load stability. The nylon ACE RIP fabric is highly abrasion-resistant and weather-resistant.
To ensure a proper fit, the pack is available in two different sizes which are based on your chest measurement at the bottom ribs. The Small/Medium best fits 25"-40" chests while the Medium/Large is more appropriate for chests that measure 30"-48". Two sliding sternum straps let you dial in the fit of this pack. A height-adjustable T-hook waist strap can assist with the stability of heavier loads and it can be removed entirely if not needed.
The main compartment of the 1800+ cubic inch (30 liters) pack is accessed by a top opening with a secure cinch lock closure. There is a second way to get to the main compartment and it's ideal for winter usage. A zipper around the perimeter of the backpanel lets you get to gear from behind it so the suspension and any area that contacts your back stays out of the snow and dry. Outside, there are numerous gear attachment points. An easy access pocket offers a water-resistant zipper and a key lanyard. Harness pockets can hold phones, maps, and soft flasks and keep all of those items in easy on-the-go reach.
The included Ultimate Direction All Season Kit includes a Ski Hook (a girth hitch to webbing behind the shoulder strap zip pocket), a Ski Loop (a girth hitch to rear webbing loop), and a bungee cinch system (for external lashing and compression).
